I heard a faint whisper from afar,
only to realize it was your own heart.
It called out to me, telling me to go.
To where, however, I did not know.
It didn’t matter where we went,
the time together would be well spent.
We’d sit beneath a candlelight,
contemplating our next step in life.
I would sing you a calming lullaby,
and then whisper a lovely goodnight,
And when you woke up I’d be there,
waiting for you to take me somewhere.
Where, however, I hadn’t a clue.
But as long as I was there with you,
it didn’t matter where you took me.
As long as it was with you, I’d be happy.
