If I could write a song for you,
it would last for as long as we do.
And hopefully that would mean forever,
as long as you and I are together.
I can write about the stars in your eyes,
or the ones that tuck us in at night.
The way you speak, and how you smile,
I’d write these words to go on for miles.
I can write about how silly you are,
how your jokes and laughter touch my heart.
How the world looks so small when I see you,
And I have to wonder, do you see it like that too?
And as everything becomes quite clear,
I hope that you’ll find yourself here,
besides me, where you will then see
that you are what makes me truly happy.
