086. Wishing Well
Published on 28 October 2015 at 15:21
Take me far away,
to the heavens...
and back; or even further.
And love me forever,
for all eternity...
in a wishful serenity,
a world of plenty;
the vastness of it all,
and yet, I yearn for more,
for something else.
Perhaps an open door,
or even a wishing well.
A star I may wish upon,
or a mountain I can climb;
a fish that can swim,
or a bird that can fly.
I’ll be one of those,
something great;
or perhaps I’ll be
just a tad bit late
in reaching my dreams,
and falling too short.
And as all of my tears fell
to the freshly frosted snow,
I wish to say one last thing,
before I go...
You were, and always will be,
my wishing well.
