277. My Kite, The Cloud, And Home

Published on 11 November 2018 at 23:55

I flew my kite through a magic cloud,

and it somehow led me home.

My home wasn’t a house on the ground,

or anywhere I could really run to.

It was somewhere in the lost and found,

and my heart was the key.

If a broken heart is a broken key,

then for years I hadn’t a home.

as she was nowhere to be.

At least, not that I could ever see,

which left me feeling cold and alone.

And then I found her,

the other half to my broken key.

Because love is an answer

that we often forget about.

It’s like climbing a tree,

and then trying to figure out

how to climb back down,

without first looking around.

There’s so much to see,

and yet you’re too worried

that you’ll be stuck there forever,

with no way to break free,

but that’s not true.

All you need is a little time

to explore all that sits inside your mind.

Take your own kite and simply fly,

and find your very own magic cloud.

Fly with her, like a turtle dove,

the one you’ve grown to care for and love.

She’s the other half that makes a whole,

and together you’ll go on to unlock

the one place you can call your home.
