285. Open Doors

There is an open door to walk through

for every wall you might happen to run into.

As many feathers as there are on a bird,

or as many meanings as there are in a single word.

For as many pieces as there are in a puzzle,

there are just as many doors in life.

It’s your choice whether or not to walk through,

even if you’re unsure of what that door might hide.

It’s totally up to you, whatever you decide.

As many waves as there are in the ocean,

there’s a door out there that needs to be opened.

And we’re the only ones who hold the key

to unlock each door, it seems. 

Just let your mind fly as free as a dove,

opening doors and doing what you love.

Soar through the world with an open heart,

and don’t let the world ever pull you apart,

Because no matter where you are,

there will always be an unopened door.

So, open it, even if all you find is somewhere dark.

At least it would be a start.
