I feel for the world, and I feel for you.
For you, my friends… You are my family.
I am only one soul, a single human heart,
but I am not the only heartbeat.
There are billions upon billions of us out there
that share the same air, the same gravity.
No matter the difference, no matter the similarities,
everyone breathes just as everyone bleeds.
We all live, as we all die… a sorrowful reality,
though that is the one thing we all have in common.
And it is what should unite us… All of us.
We all share the same land, the same Earth,
the same world… and whatever lies beyond.
And I know that we breathe from different lungs,
that our cells don’t always change the same color
when they die… but with death comes a variety of life.
And all life is beautiful, as it is beautifully made.
I wish for you to feel as I do, to see all that I see.
A reality so serene, so filled with hope and passion,
and love—a world filled with a love so sweet
that we could all live in complete and blissful serenity.
I dream of it, of its existence.
And yet, I was only one leaf upon an ever growing tree.
If I had the luck of falling from one of the many branches,
the rest of the tree would remain together.
I would return to my roots… only to see you grow.
And that is what’s missing in our world;
the feeling of wishing others to grow.
As I feel for you, I feel for the world;
for you are the world… no matter what.
You are all that you think you are,
never whatever someone else might think.
You are your own human being,
and you should be loved just for that.
If only we could come together,
put our differences aside… and love each other.
If only we could actually see ourselves,
pay attention to what we say, or how we act…
and understand that life is a struggle,
and that we’re all here regardless,
breathing the same air,
and walking the same roads,
living the same reality,
and dreaming the same dreams.
Then you would understand
that we aren’t so different after all.
We all share a common similarity…
And that is that we are all different.
A virtue that should be embraced,
but we hate over it instead… and it hurts.
The pain is unreal, it’s unbearable,
but it must be endured for a greater good.
If you must fight, then you must,
but first, learn how to love your enemy…
Learn how to love yourself.
